The EU Packaging Regulation — PPWR, Regulation (EU) 2025/40 — has applied since 12 August 2026. Registration is national: country by country, most of them with no minimum quantity, so one parcel across a border is enough.
But the first letter rarely comes from a ministry. It comes from the brand above you in the chain, as a spreadsheet to fill in by hand and a declaration to sign — recycled content, country of manufacture, additives, barriers, adhesives, test references. Then the next customer sends their own version of the same table, and you type it all again.
It does not register you in any country. It does not act as your authorised representative. It does not pay a compliance scheme on your behalf. Those are services, not software — Tarafex produces the figures and the documents behind them, and stops there.
It is also not Taraflex, the sports flooring. Tarafex is a Vivifex product for packaging data.
Packaging vocabulary does not travel. A Polish producer will not run compliance in English, and neither will a German or a Dutch one. Tarafex is built so that a language is a dictionary rather than a second site. Every language Tarafex serves sits as a dictionary on the same pages, not as one copy of the product per language.
The assistant does not wait for the page to be translated: it already answers in all 24 official EU languages, so a Polish or a Czech user can ask in their own words from the first day.
Tarafex is packaging data for a workshop that already ships. You record each packaging item once — material, weight of one unit, where that weight came from — and reuse it as the data sheet a customer emails you, the EU declaration of conformity, and the kilograms per country an EPR scheme files.
A table a buyer emails down the chain: each component of the packaging a product travels in, with recycled content, weight, country of production, composition, and the other columns their template happens to name. Tarafex writes it from the catalogue and the recipe, one row per component, and leaves a column blank rather than guessing.
The EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation — Regulation (EU) 2025/40 — applied from 12 August 2026. It is the rule that asks for a declaration of conformity (Article 39, model in Annex VIII) against the requirements in Articles 5 to 12. Registration for the waste, EPR, stays national.
No. It does not register you in any country, does not act as an authorised representative, and does not pay a scheme. It produces the kilograms, country by country, reusable held apart, that you or your accountant hand over in the shape they ask for.
No. The person whose name is on the declaration decides that. Tarafex will not tick Articles 5, 6 or 10 for you, will not invent a weight, and the in-app assistant is forbidden from judging compliance.
No. Taraflex is a sports-flooring brand belonging to someone else. Tarafex is a Vivifex product for packaging data.

Packaging EPR is national, not EU-wide
One register per country, and in six of the 27 it does not exist yet. The table gives the register, the threshold and whether a foreign producer needs a representative — dated, with the source at every line.
